We had such a great experience with Little Bay Level 2 Electrical. Our quote was super reasonable and Karl’s work installing our down lights and fans was awesome and had a great final result. Everyone we worked with was really friendly and it really felt like an honest and fair company. Karl was also super lovely with our toddler and dog too! Thanks again!
Daniel led an excellent team to deliver an electrical upgrade to our apartment. Karl and Remy were professional, punctual and customer and outcome focused in performing works that were at times quite challenging. Little Bay Level 2 Electrical will be my ‘go to’ business for future electrical needs.
Little Bay Level 2 Electrical service was excellent from the initial call to book the job, through to advice as to when the electrician was due to arrive and the actual completion of the job. Daniel also gave us advice on other electrical issues we had at no extra charge. Highly recommended
The guys were really accommodating, did a professional job and were very polite. They took the time to go over everything that they had done and answer any questions.
I found it quite challenging to get an electrician to answer my calls or respond to text messages. How refreshing to find Little Bay Level 2 Electrical! Daniel was on time, extremely professional and so capable! I will only use these guys from now on. So impressed!
I originally had Daniel & team out to replace wired smoke alarm, install extra general power outlets & upgrade ceramic fuses. But ended up with the team doing all these plus upgrading the switchboard , replace ceiling fans to energy efficient ones & replacing cotton electrical cabling too. Across the 3 visits, the team were very friendly, professional & work seamlessly with the tasks. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the results & would highly recommend Little Bay Level 2 Electrical for your electrical needs. Thanks Daniel & team for a 5-star service!
Our Service Side 80A fuse which protects the Power Meter blew up in a spectacular manner (see photo) at 9pm on a Friday night, causing total blackout of our Home. We rang Little Bay Level 2 Electrical 24 Hours emergency number. We received immediate friendly support and within 30 minutes Daniel, a Level 2 certified Electrician, was at our Home replacing the 80A Service side Fuse, installing a Lightning Protector and ensuring all wiring was perfect! He was a true professional, providing safety advice, a 5 year Warranty and great value. I strongly recommend Little Bay Level 2 Electrical!
We lost our power overnight due to minor flooding, Nathan arrived promptly and gave us a detailed quote. Unfortunately our switchboard was non compliant, we had some safety issues, but a full day later we were back up and running. Daniel and Braydon worked really hard and efficiently all day, communicating what was happening and as more rain was expected, they even tarped our eave that was leaking. They left the premises neat and clean, even wiping down the walls. I highly recommend them.
Daniel, Chris, Braydon and the team have been fantastic to work with, great quality and very professional service. Ill be using them again on all future electrical work
It’s amazing how Daniel and Chris came to solve a complex problem and restored the power that my previous electrician was unable to figure it out. They provided prompt and outstanding service! Highly recommended it!

Daniel has done an absolute stellar job changing our switchboard and reenergising our shop after the explosive fire next door and really put in the hard yakka over two full days. He was prompt to reply and professional and very much on-time. I highly recommend Daniel and his team, and will be using them in future.

Still have questions about electrical defect notices in Little Bay? Check out these FAQs or reach out to our team for expert guidance. We're here to help you understand and resolve your electrical defect notice efficiently and safely.
An electrical defect notice is issued by your network provider (such as Ausgrid) when they identify unsafe or non-compliant electrical installations connected to their network during routine inspections or meter readings. These notices outline specific issues that must be rectified within a given timeframe to maintain safe electrical connection to your property. The defects typically relate to aspects of your electrical installation that interface with the network infrastructure, such as service cables, metering equipment, consumer mains, private poles, or connection points. Network providers issue these notices to protect both their infrastructure and your safety, as unresolved electrical defects can pose serious risks including fire hazards, electric shock dangers, and damage to electrical equipment. Failing to address these defects can result in disconnection of your power supply, which is why prompt attention from a qualified Level 2 electrician is essential.
Timeframes vary depending on the severity of the defect and the issuing authority's assessment of the associated risks. Critical safety defects that pose immediate danger may require attention within a very short period, sometimes as little as a day or two, while less urgent issues might allow several weeks for rectification. The specific deadline will be clearly stated on your defect notice documentation. We recommend acting promptly regardless of the timeframe provided, as some defects can deteriorate rapidly, especially in coastal environments like Little Bay where salt air and weather exposure can accelerate electrical infrastructure degradation. Contacting a Level 2 electrician as soon as you receive the notice allows for proper assessment, planning, and scheduling of rectification work well before any disconnection threat becomes imminent. Addressing defects early also prevents potential compounding issues that might develop if the underlying problem is left unattended.
Ignoring an electrical defect notice can have serious consequences that extend beyond inconvenience. The network provider has the authority to disconnect your power supply if defects aren't addressed within the specified timeframe, which can disrupt your household or business operations significantly. Additionally, unresolved electrical defects pose considerable safety risks including fire hazards from overheating connections, electric shock dangers from exposed or damaged conductors, and damage to appliances from poor electrical supply quality. From a legal standpoint, property owners have a duty of care to maintain electrical installations in a safe condition, and failure to rectify known defects could result in liability issues if an incident occurs. Insurance coverage may also be compromised if a claim arises from an unresolved electrical defect that you were aware of but failed to address. In some circumstances, repeated non-compliance with defect notices can result in additional penalties or legal action. Beyond these immediate concerns, unresolved defects typically worsen over time, especially in coastal areas, potentially leading to more extensive and costly repairs down the track.
Electrical defect notices typically involve work on or near the network connection point, service equipment, or infrastructure that interfaces with the electricity distributor's network, which requires a licenced Level 2 electrician (also known as an Accredited Service Provider or ASP). Little Bay Level 2 Electrical has the proper certifications and network authorisations to legally perform this specialised work in accordance with Ausgrid requirements. General electricians without Level 2 accreditation cannot complete many of the tasks required for defect notice resolution, as this work requires specific training, insurance coverage, and authority to operate on network assets or customer infrastructure that connects directly to the network. Level 2 electricians are authorised to disconnect and reconnect properties from the electricity network, work on overhead and underground service lines, replace service fuses, upgrade consumer mains, and perform other specialised tasks that fall outside the scope of standard electrical work. They also have the authority to lodge the necessary compliance documentation with the network provider to formally clear the defect notice. Attempting to have defect work completed by an unqualified person will not satisfy the network provider's requirements and could result in continued non-compliance status.
In Little Bay, common defect notice issues include deteriorated overhead service cables affected by coastal weather conditions, corroded connection points and terminations due to salt air exposure, non-compliant metering arrangements in older properties, inadequate clearances for aerial conductors across driveways and access ways, insufficient consumer mains capacity in homes where electrical loads have increased over time, damaged or deteriorating private poles weakened by weather exposure and age, faulty earthing systems that have corroded or become disconnected, and weatherproofing issues with external switchboards and meter boxes that allow moisture ingress. The area's coastal location presents unique challenges, as the salt-laden air can accelerate corrosion of electrical fittings, insulators, and connections, leading to safety concerns that trigger defect notices during network inspections. Many properties in the area also have aging electrical infrastructure that may not have been upgraded to meet current standards, particularly around service connection points and consumer mains. Properties near Little Bay Beach and along the coastal strip are particularly susceptible to these environmental factors, making regular electrical maintenance and prompt attention to defect notices especially important for property owners in this beautiful but challenging coastal environment.
